HOW TO IMPORT FROM CHINA FOR PROFIT

Whether you’re an established business, or someone who is tired of working for someone else and wants to start a new business, it can benefit you to learn how to import from China. If you are careful and organized, you can begin a new importing business that can be a huge success.

Before you begin, you’ll want to research a lot of things. You need to know what you want to sell, who you plan to sell it to, and where you’re going to sell it. Making the wrong decisions can be costly. You don’t want to end up with a lot of products that you can’t sell.

Here is how to import from China successfully:

Select a product – You can find a targeted niche with a little research. Stay away from trademarked or counterfeit products. They can be profitable in the short term, but not for the long term. You want to find a profit that isn’t too expensive so your start-up cost will be lower.

The easiest products to start with are those that are small and light. Your profits will be greatly reduced if you’re moving pianos across the world. Your startup costs will also be higher if the products cost more to produce. Try to find a unique product. Items like clothing, food, and electronics are a necessity in today’s world, but the market is also saturated and it can be difficult to make a profit when you’re just starting out.

Find a good supplier – You want to find a supplier that will allow you to focus on increasing your sales and growing your business. Many suppliers will offer you cheap samples and promise you they will be “fast.” They may also be scams. Research suppliers, talk to them personally, and get references before you decide on the one you feel can best fit your needs. Get samples from three to five suppliers before you decide. Make sure you ask about minimum order quantities, payment and shipping policies, and price lists.

Order and list your product – You’ll want to have a minimum of five items in stock. You can then list your item on eBay and Amazon. If you haven’t used these places before, there is a course that describes what to do. You should begin getting sales quickly. All you have to do then is ship them to your new customers.

You’ll want to advertise once you begin to expand and list your product on every channel possible. You’ll have competitors, and doing things like offering coupons and/or promotional material with your items can help sway customers your way and increase your sales.

Now you know how to import from China and build a business that will turn you a good profit. All that is left to do is to get started!
